I wanted to write a letter to congratulate the winners of our first "Arizona's Next Top Smile 2009."
In our first year of this contest we had almost 150 entries to be the Top Smile. All of the entries were fantastic and showed off beautiful smiles. They also showed the wonderful personalities of our patients and often showcased our patient's creativity.
From the 150 entries we had local dental offices and their staff narrow the choices to the 40 top smiles. This was extremely difficult for the offices to do becasue there were so many great smiles.
The online voting for the Top Smiles began in November and lasted until December 31. We received almost 900 votes and several clear winners emerged. The person with most votes was Bianca P with over 100 votes! Great job Bianca!
Of the Top Votes we had 8 "Popular Choice" winners that were female and 2 " Popular Choice" male winners. On Saturday, January 10th we had our Top Smiles photo shoot and took almost 500 photos. These photos will showcase our Top Smiles for the 2009 year. You will see smiles on all of our marketing campaigns and throughout the office.
Due to the overwhelming success of this event, we are going to make this an annual contest. Anyone who was not selected to be our top 10 smiles is welcome to enter to be our Top Smiles for 2010. If you are interested in WINNING and being showcased throughout the office and the city as our Top Smile here is some advice from the winners.
- Submit a clear picture with your best smile - not a photo from a camera phone
- Submit the photo early - as soon as the contest begins (8/1/09)
- Get family, friends, and neighbors involved in the voting
- Be creative in getting the word out to vote for you
- Winners mentioned that they used their Facebook and MySpace pages to tell friends to vote
for them
- Parents and brothers and sisters helped with votes by spreading the word at their office and
schools
- Make sure to vote for yourself!!
