On behalf of Dr Feldman and Dr Hoffman (our newest edition to the team!) and the entire team at Arizona Orthodontic Studio - we want to extend our best wishes to you, our patients, referring doctors and families, for a wonderful Thanksgiving.

It's a big food holiday, so be careful what you eat with those braces! If you have any stories or pictures to share with us, we'd encourage you to post them on our Facebook Page

As always, if you know anyone we can help, just let us know. We promise to give them the same quality orthodontic care that we have given you.

The Contest: Flat Feldman

Dr. Feldman has been flattened just in time for a summer adventure! Take a picture of you and Flat Feldman having some summer fun and send us the picture or upload it directly to our facebook page. All entry’s will be displayed on our Facebook page for a fan vote!

The Prize:

Here’s what you need to do:

    above and print OR you can pick up a copy of Flat Feldman in our

2. Decorate your Flat Feldman anyway you like!
3. Take Flat Feldman on a summer adventure! This could be across
    country or in your backyard. Use your imagination.

Mouthguards Save Faces

At Arizona Orthodontic Studio, we know how important it is to protect your face. The spring months bring an increase in outdoor activities and a greater chance of damaging your precious mouth and pearly whites. Dr Feldman and our team also know sports-related injuries are common among children. According to the American Association of Orthodontists, 70 percent of parents said their biggest worry is that their child will get hurt while playing sports.

That’s why the team at Arizona Orthodontic Studio are doing our part to spread the word that facial sports injuries can be avoided simply by reminding your kids to wear mouth guards. Ask us—Dr Feldman is also an authorized Under Armour Mouth Guard provider.

In addition, the AAO has provided the following tips for keeping your kids safe on the field. Please remind them to:

• Wear mouth guards during contact sports
• Wear a helmet
• Stretch before and after a game or practice
• Wear protective eye wear
• Wear a face shield to avoid scratched or bruised skin
• Be observant—even as a spectator

All of these can reduce injuries. Only by using a mouth guard and other forms of facial protection can kids with and without braces avoid serious sports injuries. Be sure to avoid mouth guards that custom form to your teeth as these will resist any tooth movements we are trying to achieve. Top Smile 2010 Photo Shoot is a Success!

VOTING FOR 2010 IS COMPLETE AND WE HAVE 12 WINNERS!

For 2009, our finalists received a professional photo shoot. Those photos were used in multiple marketing campaigns including print and the internet. Their photos were seen by hundreds of thousands of people!

For 2010, the winners took part in a studio and 'on location' photo shoot. They will be seen by thousands of people in print, internet, and video work. The photo shoot lasted over 6 hours and 1,800 photos were taken.

The results are fantastic. We are just beginning to put the new 2010 photos onto our screen savers and video screens. We are also developing our 2010 marketing materials which will show off these amazing smiles.

Most importantly!!!!! - Thank you to everyone who entered the contest. Your support means everything to us. We wished you all could win and we know that all of you are TOP SMILES.

We are looking for Arizona's Next Top Smile 2010

It's that time of year again! Dr. Feldman and Team are in search of Arizona's Next Top Smile for 2010! You don't have to be finished with your treatment in order to enter this contest, you just have to be a patient! We are now accepting photo's from our patient's who are a pre-start (G&D), active or retention patient. Just log onto our website at http://www.thesmilecreators.com/ and click on the Top Smile tab. There you will find all of the contest rules and regulations and you can upload your picture. Once your picture is uploaded, you will be automatically entered into the contest. "Teacher Appreciation - April Contest Winner

Arizona's Next Top Smile

I wanted to write a letter to congratulate the winners of our first "Arizona's Next Top Smile 2009."

In our first year of this contest we had almost 150 entries to be the Top Smile. All of the entries were fantastic and showed off beautiful smiles. They also showed the wonderful personalities of our patients and often showcased our patient's creativity.

From the 150 entries we had local dental offices and their staff narrow the choices to the 40 top smiles. This was extremely difficult for the offices to do becasue there were so many great smiles.

The online voting for the Top Smiles began in November and lasted until December 31. We received almost 900 votes and several clear winners emerged. The person with most votes was Bianca P with over 100 votes! Great job Bianca!

Of the Top Votes we had 8 "Popular Choice" winners that were female and 2 " Popular Choice" male winners. On Saturday, January 10th we had our Top Smiles photo shoot and took almost 500 photos. These photos will showcase our Top Smiles for the 2009 year. You will see smiles on all of our marketing campaigns and throughout the office.

Due to the overwhelming success of this event, we are going to make this an annual contest. Anyone who was not selected to be our top 10 smiles is welcome to enter to be our Top Smiles for 2010. If you are interested in WINNING and being showcased throughout the office and the city as our Top Smile here is some advice from the winners.

- Submit a clear picture with your best smile - not a photo from a camera phone

- Submit the photo early - as soon as the contest begins (8/1/09)

- Get family, friends, and neighbors involved in the voting

- Be creative in getting the word out to vote for you

- Winners mentioned that they used their Facebook and MySpace pages to tell friends to vote

for them

- Parents and brothers and sisters helped with votes by spreading the word at their office and

schools

- Make sure to vote for yourself!!
